It's fun to teach at festivals. We transform old paper scraps and junk mail into new handmade paper with a few simple tools. I also teach in classrooms, libraries, and can bring this fun project to birthday parties and other events.

How to make paper - DO try this at home!

The essentials of making paper are:

1. Grind fibers into pulp using a blender and water.
2. Pour the pulp into a mold and drain the water out.
3. Press out as much water as possible with screens and sponges.
4. Dry the paper overnight.
